What you buy matters

The clothing industry is the second polluter in the world. The industry uses more water than any other, apart from agriculture, and are responsible for the unfair working conditions of millions of people.

We need a change of heart.

LouWolf chooses to work with brands who share the same values, who make clothes that kids love to wear, without compromising social and environmental aspects of the production.

What are we looking for?

        • Organic cotton: because, organic cotton uses no genetically modified seeds, bans all use of pesticides, uses 71 % less water and 62 % less energy. This has a massive effect on both people and planet, and for us – it’s a no brainer.
        • Tencel: If you are wearing Viscose (rayon) you are a heavy user of chemicals. The better option for our future is to choose garments made of Tencel. Tencel is a cellulose fibre made out of wood pulp from sustainably harvested trees and is both biodegradable and recyclable. Chemicals are carefully controlled by reusing them in a unique closed-loop system - leaving minimal waste. Also  Viscose (rayon) comes from trees but is not eco-friendly because of its toxic production which is highly energy intensive, and far from eco friendly.
        • Fabrics made for the long run: fabrics that have a lower impact on both nature and human health, such as organic cotton, recycled polyester, and Modal®.
